YOUR FIRST VISIT

Your first visit to the osteopath and physiotherapist
  • Our receptionists will greet you as you arrive and ask you to complete a medical history form. It is a good idea to bring a list of any medications and supplements you are taking and copies of any relevant documents like X-rays or scan reports.
  • You will then be taken through to a consulting room by your therapist. They will discuss your condition and medical history and listen to your concerns. They may ask about your work, home and lifestyle to understand more about you.
  • Following this discussion your therapist will then assess you to observe how you move, look at your posture and get an idea as to what is causing your problem. The therapist may also test how your nerves are working, take your blood pressure or perform specialist orthopaedic tests to see what the cause of your pain might be.
